부정어 뒤에 at all, in the least, in the slightest, whatever, a bit, in the slightest, by any means, on any account , in any way 등이 있으면 부정문을 강조하게 된다.

He cannot speak French at all. (at all:조금도, 전혀) 그는 불어를 전혀 할 수 없다.
I didn't notice him at all. 나는 그를 전혀 눈치 채지 못했다.
I'm not in the least afraid of snakes. (in the least:조금도, 전혀)
He had no ambition whatever. (whatever: 조금의 ~도(없는))
I don't like it in the slightest. 나는 조금도 그것을 좋아하지 않는다.
I can see nothing whatever. 나는 전혀 아무것도 볼 수 없다.
