부정사 > 부정사의 명사적 용법 (1)주어 역할

to부정사구가 주어로 쓰이는 경우 3인칭 단수 취급한다. 
to부정사구가 주어로 쓰이는 경우 어구가 길어지므로 to부정사 어구를 뒤로 보내고 가주어 it을 주어로 내세워 쓸 수 있다. 이때 It을 「가주어」, to부정사구를 「진주어」라고 한다.

「To 부정사구문 ~ is ~」
= 「It is ~ to 부정사구문」 [가주어, 진주어 구문]
 

To know oneself is difficult. 자기 자신을 아는 것은 어렵다.
= It is difficult to know oneself
To use the dictionary is necessary. 사전을 이용하는 것은 필요하다.
= It is necessary to use the dictionary.
To teach English is very difficult.  
= It is very difficult to teach English. 
To persuade him is useless. 그를 설득해도 소용없다.
= It is useless to persuade him.
To play baseball is a lot of fun. 야구를 하는 것은 아주 재미있다.
= It is a lot of fun to play baseball.
To love one’s country is not easy. 조국을 사랑한다는 것은 쉽지 않다.
= It is a easy to love one's country.
To know oneself is difficult. 자기 자신을 안다는 것은 어렵다.
= It is difficult to know oneself.
To take pictures is much fun. 사진을 찍는 것은 아주 재미있다.
= It is much fun to take picture.
